These problems, often associated with the textile industry, include water body pollution caused by the discharge of untreated effluents. Issues like air emissions and solid waste are also of importance. Moreover, safety & Health conditions at the facility may also pose health impacts and safety issues on workers. Present study deals with the performance assessment of a textile industry by monitoring of different environmental parameters as well as health & safety conditions at the industry.Ms Almas Hamid is Assistant Professor at Kinnaird College for Women, Lahore. She has her specialization in analytical Chemistry and Environmental Sciences. Her areas of interest and research include chemistry , environmental monitoring, air modelling & occupational safety and health. She has several International research publications to her credit.
