Ende Mai 2003 starteten Tasso und seine Frau Irene mit ihrem Segelboot "ARTEMIS" zu einer Reise von Haseldorf, an der Elbe, nach Griechenland. Nach 2100 Kilometern auf Flüssen und Kanäle Westdeutschlands, der Niederlande, Belgiens und Frankreichs erreichten sie das Mittelmeer in Port St.-Louis an der Mündung der Rhône. Dabei mussten sie 265 Schleusen passieren und durch fünf Tunnel fahren. In der Marina "Port Napoleon" ließen sie den Mast aufstellen und segelten entlang der Cote d' Azure, der Riviera und den Küsten Italiens am Tyrrhenischen Meer. Durch die Straße von Messina kamen sie ins Ionische Meer, überquerten die Straße von Otranto und gelangten in den Ionischen Archipel Griechenlands. Danach befuhren sie den Patraischen und den Korinthischen Golf und durch den Kanal von Korinth kamen sie in die Ägäis, in den Saronischen Golf. Dort endete die Reise und "ARTEMIS" wurde in Susaki zur Überwinterung aus dem Wasser geholt. In diesem Buch werden neben der Route, Erlebnisse und Emotionen geschildert, sowie Sehenswertes und Geschichtliches vieler der besuchten Orte. Das Ganze wird noch vervollständigt mit Routenkarten und Bildern.
