And no people can rise higher than the character of its womanhood.Passing of the Heroes.To the Sons of Confederate Veterans, may we say, that some time ago a correspondent from Opelika gave the names of Confederate soldiers buried in that cemetery. I am glad the names of our departed heroes, from time to time, are given. It is in the nature of argument to the coming generation on behalf of the principles for which they fought, and are silent reminders of responsibilities that lie about us.
