English summary: How is information protected by property rights? Information goods such as news, images, gene sequences or stored data can be classified as semantic, syntactic or structural information. Herbert Zech shows that information is allocated exclusively not only by intellectual property rights but also in other fields of law. German description: Informationsguter haben heute einen grosseren Einfluss auf unser Leben als jemals zuvor. Dennoch ist nach wie vor ungeklart, was unter Informationsgutern zu verstehen ist und wie diese bestimmten Personen zuzuordnen sind. Herbert Zech unterscheidet drei Informationsarten, die auch als Guter aufgefasst werden konnen: Semantische Information wird durch ihren Aussagegehalt abgegrenzt, syntaktische Information durch ihre Darstellung als eine Menge von Zeichen und strukturelle Information durch ihre Verkorperung. Anhand dieser Unterscheidung untersucht er, wie Information durch absolute Rechte geschutzt wird, zum Beispiel in Form von Aussagen uber Personen, Unternehmensgeheimnissen, Erfindungen, Nachrichten, Abbildungen, Gensequenzen, Bild- und Tonaufnahmen oder gespeicherten Daten. Herbert Zech zeigt, dass eine ausschliessliche Zuweisung von Information nicht nur im geistigen Eigentum, sondern auch in anderen Rechtsgebieten vorgenommen wird.
