She earned a Ph.D. in English from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and has taught in elementary, secondary, and higher education. Born in Crowley, Louisiana, Mrs. Landry lives in Laguna Woods, California, to be closer to her children./p pJulie Duprï1/2 Buckner began painting commissioned work at the age of fourteen. She earned a B.F.A. from Louisiana Tech University and continued her studies in Italy. Her illustration portfolio includes three titles in the Clovis Crawfish Series and numerous advertising illustrations. A serious portrait painter, she has studied with nationally acclaimed portrait artist Michael Del Priore.
