After receiving the Katherine Hughes fellowship, Juanita spent a year at Wellesley College in Wellesley, Massachusetts. Miss Jones received certification in Exceptional Student Education from the University of South Florida in Tampa and a Masters in Reading from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. She is recently retired from the public school system where for 36 years she worked as a teacher (26 years) and curriculum coordinator (10 years). Presently Juanita is the teaching evangelist at St. Stephen A.M.E. Church where she serves as the superintendent of the Sunday school, teacher of the adult Bible Study and secretary of the Steward Board.
