W zwiazku z tym przez wiele lat kulisy walk o Poznan znalismy tylko z jednej strony. Ta niepelna wiedza przyczynila sie niestety rowniez do tego, ze szturm i zdobycie poznanskiej Cytadeli obrosly przez lata w mity i legendy. Tymczasem ksiazka Macieja Karalusa pt. Kernwerk 1945. Historia zdobycia Cytadeli Poznanskiej te tendencje zmienia. Autor odkrywa przed nami sprawy, o ktorych czesto wczesniej nie mielismy pojecia. Pojawiaja sie w niej relacje zolnierzy niemieckich, ktorzy przetrwali walki, zamknieci w kazamatach Cytadeli. Te wspomnienia doskonale oddaja atmosfere tamtych dni, atmosfere, ktorej do tej pory moglismy sie jedynie domyslac. Pamietac trzeba, ze opis zawarty na kartach tej ksiazki jest jedynie proba rekonstrukcji zmagan o poznanska Cytadele. Nie jest to rowniez opis ostateczny ani zapewne pelny. Jest jednak pierwszym, w ktorym rowno potraktowano relacje polskich, rosyjskich i niemieckich uczestnikow walk. Serdecznie zapraszam Panstwa do lektury.
