High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! The Audi A1 is a supermini-class car expected to be launched by Audi at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. Sales of the initial 3-door A1 model are anticipated to start in continental Europe in the summer of 2010, followed by the United Kingdom in September 2010. A 5-door A1 Sportback model is also expected to be launched later. The A1 is intended to compete with the Mini[1], and the Alfa Romeo Mito; it will be produced at the Audi factory in Brussels, Belgium. The engines range is expected to comprise turbocharged 1.2 (84 bhp or 104 bhp) and 1.4 litre (120 bhp turbocharged or 168 bhp twincharger) petrol engines, plus a 1.6 litre common rail diesel engine in 74, 89 or 103 bhp states of tune. Although initially thought to be based on Volkswagen Group's MQB (Modular Transverse Matrix) platform, the A1 was later reported to be based on the PQ25 platform, the same platform used in the SEAT Ibiza Mk4 and the VW Polo Mk5.
