This new book was taken to a reunion about two decades ago (more or less) and members present of the 47th Bomb Group who were willing were asked to sign their name under their Veteran Biography which are located in the latter half of the book. Ten members signed and the page where they signed and their date of birth, if known are indicated. Charles W. Barr, born 7-21-1920, page 69; Jack Harold Botts, born 11-5-1918, page 71; Lewis N. Dillon, born 2-18-1922, page 75; George L. Gaudreaulot born 11-30-1923, page 77; William H. Jones, dob unknown but he received wings on 9-13-1944 while he was still 19 years old, page 81; Earl Porter, born 3-28-1924; page 88; Thomas A. Ratts, born 7-5-1919, page 89; Vernon Lee Sullivan, DOB unknown, page 94; Marshall V. White, born 9-14-1921, page 97 and Charlie F. Wood, born 4-24-1921, page 98. In addition on page 105 eight other signatures of attendees are present, I note that Charlie F. Woods signature is present in both places and that George W. Lubbe states after his signature (85th) which I assume indicates he was in that bomber group. This work is printed on very high quality paper and has much black & white illustration. Included is a Table of Contents, a dedication, a publisher's message then an informal narrative history of the 47th Bombardment Group. This detailed biographical information is listed in my description so that if a son or daughter, or grandson or granddaugher, who might by chance read this, will have full information regarding the contents of this work.
